In this course, "AI in Education: Revolutionizing Learning and Teaching to Empower Educators and Students," we will explore how AI is changing the way we teach and learn, offering new opportunities and challenges for educators and students alike. This course is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of how AI can be used to enhance the educational experience. Throughout the course, we will cover topics such as machine learning, natural language processing, adaptive learning platforms following inclusion and accessibility standards, automated assessment tools, applications of Augmented Reality (AR/VR), as well as efficient class scheduling and resource management.
As our society becomes more complex, schools must adapt their methods to prepare students for new challenges in the 21st century. This course will help you prepare for a dynamic, challenging and motivating teaching approach which get your students would be critical and conscious digital citizens. Active methodologies place the students at the center of this process and make them the protagonists of discovery, rather than just passive information receivers. There are different teaching strategies to create an active learning environment and to engage the students to it.
This course has been designed for teachers who want to integrate educational apps and digital tools into their methodology. Participants will learn about some of the most suitable collaborative tools to foster students’ engagement and motivation. Moreover, the course will focus on innovative methodologies to make content more visually engaging for students. With active learning techniques in our classroom, teachers will guide them in the educational process helping them to think, explain ideas or propose solutions. These techniques involve using ICT’s tools for video-editing, team-building and digital boards to share.
The course will focus on THE USE AND LEARNING OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES in the classroom, with special focus on the use of tablets as iPads or similar ones and discovering new apps but the achieve of all new knowledge as well. Students will work with modern technology to explore image and sound editing, the making of interactive presentations, the creation of online and offline games activities, etc. All these activities and tools will help a lot of subjects such as mathematics, science, languages, etc., so INTERDISCIPLINARY will be used as part as the digital resources.
Today it seems clear that development of creativity is essential. Proof of the great importance creativity has in our daily lives is the fact that it is, without a doubt, number 1 of the desired competences in the professional network. The same happens with the democracy as well and citizens must play an active role to build a better future. However, for teachers, sometimes both tasks seem a bit challenging since we don’t know very well how to teach to be creative and how to transmit this responsibility to our students. During this course, participants will acquire skills related to the development of creativity, divergent thinking for problem-solving, as well the techniques and skills necessary to be able to develop an active citizenship.
