GOING DIGITAL IN AN INNOVATIVE CLASSROOM
WITH APPS AND NEW ICT TECHNOLOGIES
COURSE INFORMATION
This training is a practical approach which helps teachers to improve quality and effectivity of educational processes in the classroom using new technologies. Students will be more motivated with game-creation and collaborative tools having fun while learning at the same time. Encouraging critical and creative thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills in our students are examples that will broaden your teaching potential.
This course has been designed for teachers who want to integrate educational apps and digital tools into their methodology. Participants will learn about some of the most suitable collaborative tools to foster students’ engagement and motivation. Project-based learning and online platforms will be integrated into the classroom as valuable tools to support each student’s learning rhythm.
Moreover, the course will focus on innovative methodologies to make content more visually engaging for students. With active learning techniques in our classroom, teachers will guide them in the educational process helping them to think, explain ideas or propose solutions. These techniques involve using ICT’s tools for video-editing, team-building and digital boards to share.
Educators will develop strategies to increase student interest and participation using gamification and collaborative techniques, improving overall classroom dynamics and learning outcomes. Digital literature and comics online will encourage active reading so every kind of books will be more appealing to them.
Participants will learn as well how to use Scratch in the classroom to enable students to code their own interactive stories, animations and games applied to many different subjects and grades.
This course is aimed for teachers and school staff from pre-school level to primary, secondary, vocational, adult and special needs education, staff of non-government organizations, government and policy makers and company staff. Non-native English trainers expecting participants to have at least B1 level of English proficiency.
