ECO-FRIENDLY MINDSET:
AN INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE WITH A PRACTICAL APPROACH FOCUSED ON TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
COURSE INFORMATION
The Eco-friendly mindset course will give teachers knowledge about the most important topics related to environmental issues and climate change, so that they have some methods when it comes to making change or taking action in their homes, schools or even in their communities. Participants will gain lots of practical ideas and get to know some theory as well.
In this course, first we will focus on the concept of climate change and sustainable development in general to give participants some background knowledge about the topic. We will give them lots of ideas and methods on how to raise awareness of students about the problems of climate change and how to teach this topic at different levels of education.
The main topics are problems with fast fashion and fashion industry, sustainable food, sustainable transport, greener household, low-waste lifestyle and biodiversity. By the end of the course, the participants will feel more confident about the topics, and they will have their own plan on how to implement the new knowledge at their schools, homes or even within their local communities.
METHODOLOGY
